healthy, quick breakfast ideas

I am always looking for healthy and quick breakfast ideas. A while back, I read a post by Molly Sims on GG Bran Crispbread, which is a low carb, high fiber toast that is meant to keep you full longer. They are a little bit of an acquired taste, but with the right toppings they make a great breakfast or snack. Here are a few of my favorite combos that I turn to when I need a quick bite.

Almond Butter & Pomegrante Seeds


Cottage Cheese & Tomato


Peanut Butter & Berries


Hummus & Avocado


Peanut Butter & Cranberry Spread


If you have a little more time you could top the crisp bread with spinach or eggs, but there really are no set rules, so get creative and top them with your favorite food combinations!  You can buy GG Bran Crispbread at Whole Foods or online. There are lots of great peanut and almond butters out there, but my favorite is Naturally More. Naturally More includes Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and the peanut butter is also fortified with flaxseed and flax oil.
