Father’s Day is Sunday, but it is not too late to buy a gift, make Dad a jumbo game or make a colorful Father’s Day sign! We believe the simpler the craft the better. We love crafts that anyone can make and this is one of those crafts. All you need is some paint, some paper and a X-Acto knife!

Supplies

  • Paint
  • Paint brush
  • Paper
  • X-Acto knife
  • Glue or double sided tape

Paint 3 pieces of paper with thick stripes in the colors of your choice. Just like in our painted circles project we chose a rainbow palette so the sign would be extra bright and colorful. Let the paint dry completely. Next, using our father’s day sign template, cut out the letters with an X-Acto knife. The cutting is an adult only activity. Don’t forget to save the inside of the A’s, P’s, R & D if you want to use them in the sign. It also looks cute without them. Once the letters are cut out, glue the painted paper to the sign so that the paint shows through the letters. You can mount these signs on sticks, turn them into a banner or use them anyway you want!
