It’s national candy corn day, so let’s celebrate! Up until a few years ago we both emphatically turned our noses up to candy corn. It is always the candy that no one reaches for while trick or treating, it has no distinct flavor and the colors are less than exciting. However, our taste buds have changed of late and we can’t get enough of this Halloween treat…as I’m sure you can tell from our many candy corn themed treats and crafts this October. When we found out that there was actually a day to celebrate our new favorite candy we just had to join in on the fun! So we’ve pulled together an array of simple ways to celebrate this momentous day:
Candy Corn Decor
Of course any celebration needs a party hat! Love the Day’s printable candy corn hat template makes this craft so simple it would be a crime not to print one even if it’s just to celebrate today.
You may remember our diy candy corn garland from a couple weeks ago. Our printable template makes this craft a simple last minute Halloween decoration.
Of course no Halloween party is complete without a goodie bag and it’s not too late to make our candy corn treat bags whether it’s for a party or just to use as beautiful packaging for Halloween candy doled out to trick or treaters.
Candy Corn Treats
We love making fun and festive adult beverages for our parties and A Beautiful Mess’s candy corn jello shots will be a great treat for friends that stop by while trick or treating with their little ones.
We can always rely on Food 52 for no fail recipes, and now that we have their homemade candy corn recipe we can make it year round!
We’ve never met a Rice Krispie treat we didn’t like…and neither have our kids! Our candy corn Rice Krispie treats have been a hit at home as well as at all our school Halloween parties.
Last, but not least, we just could resist these adorable candy corn marshmallow people. They would make the perfect sweet treat for any Halloween party.
Happy National Candy Corn Day!
