let’s throw a unicorn party

“Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn…then always be a unicorn!”

Is there anything cuter than a little girl obsessed with unicorns? When Maire Byrne’s daughter asked for a unicorn party for her 3rd birthday, she knew she had to create a party filled with sparkle and fun!

The Decor

The kids’ tables were covered in pink tulle and decorated with bouquets of flowers in shades of pink. Bunches of pink balloons were placed in the center of each table. In classic unicorn style, the table was set with rainbow plates and napkins! Scattered on every table were the most adorable mini unicorn piñatas from Lula Flora. The backyard was filled with stick unicorns, unicorn balloons and mini beach balls. There was even a unicorn on the front door from Quinnie & B!

Sweet Treats

Every little girl knows that unicorns eat sprinkles, candy and lots of desserts! Eryn Eledge made the prettiest rainbow unicorn cookies you have ever seen. There were small white buckets of unicorn lollipops scattered around the party and Thyme Café & Market made the most delicious cake covered in sprinkles. For another great dessert idea, this recipe for unicorn food is easy and fun!

The Birthday Girl

The birthday girl wore her favorite pink dress, a silver unicorn head band, and a unicorn tail made out of pink tulle. We made the unicorn tail just like we did for our DIY unicorn costume. Meri Meri alway has an amazing assortment of party essentials, and their collection of paper unicorn horns would be a perfect party favor.

The Goody  Bags

Maire used unicorn favor bags and filled them with unicorn lollipops and adorable toys from Quinnie & B. We always make a quick trip to Quinnie & B for parties because they have a well curated selection of party favors, favor bags and party supplies that make planning a kid’s party so easy! They carry unicorn necklaces, hair clips, cards, stickers and more!

Even if you do not have a Summer birthday in your family, there is no reason you cannot throw a unicorn party! As a child, Hallman’s family had at least one unbirthday party every Summer…and we think a unicorn themed party would be fun for any day that needs a little extra sparkle!

Hope your day is filled with unicorns and rainbows!
